How to start ABR therapy
ABR sessions are usually scheduled in February and June of each year. A team of specialists from ABR Belgium center can assess 20 children in each session, most of the places being booked by those already enrolled in the program.
We recommend to interested families in starting ABR therapy to contact us in time in order to enroll in the program. Also, for any information related to therapy and organization of ABR sessions, we are here for you by phone and email AsociatiaDeMers@gmail.com
Costs
The cost of ABR therapy for one year is 1800 euros.
In order to secure a place in the program, it is necessary for everyone to pay a deposit of 250 euros. The rest of the amount, 1550 euros will be paid on the day scheduled for the ABR assessment. The cost of 1800 euros includes the basic working materials (those that existed in the program in 2013, the date when the ABR Belgium team started Romanian sessions). The materials subsequently introduced in the program (sand balls, silicone eggs, stick, elastic phases, vibration ball, etc.) are not included in the price, they can be purchased directly from the Vesna - ABR trainer or online directly from the manufacturers. Because we do not know in advance how many and what materials will be recommended to each child, we cannot estimate an exact cost of the materials. Their cost can vary between 15 and 150 euros.
Conducting the sessions
Each child will benefit from the ABR Belgium team an evaluation, a training session and a training visit that take place approximately 6 months apart.
It is necessary to allocate at least 2 days to each session, in which the first will be the assessment and in the second the training.
During the assessment, which lasts an average of three hours, the specialists will also present the ABR therapy and their effects, photos and videos will be taken to be analyzed, explained and to be used and compared the results in the following assessments.
The assessment of ABR specialists is a complex one and includes all aspects of the child's life, so please come prepared with the questions from your concerns of a parent grawing up and caring for a child with complex needs.
Sessions location
DeMers Charity organizes the ABR sessions in the winter session in the conference rooms of the Kolping Hotel Brasov. The partnership with the hotel management has always been excellent, the building being adapted for wheelchair access and the rooms and conference rooms have provided the necessary comfort for the sessions. For children who eat pure/mashed, solutions have been found in the hotel restaurant.
